Taking the seven deadly sins of legal tech predictions to Cyprus

Cyprus Legal ConferenceNext month I will be in Nicosia speaking at the Cyprus Legal Conference.

My talk is on:-

The Seven Deadly Sins of Legal Tech Predictions

There is much hype about robots taking over the work of lawyers. In this talk I will guide you through The Seven Deadly Sins of Legal Tech Predictions to debunk the hype and allow you to see the wood from the trees.

Expect to hear tales of sensationalism by legal technology journalists, fake and failed robots, unimpressive legal chatbots, AI washing, Blockwashing and the reality of Moore’s law today. Blade Runner, which of course was set in 2019, will also feature.

The Cyprus Legal Conference

The Cyprus Legal Conference aims to inform its audience about the future of law firms in Cyprus, as well as the modernisation and digitisation of their processes through various interactive presentations. The conference is expected to bring together senior executives from: law firms, regulatory compliance firms, accounting, audit and tax firms, relevant government authorities, as well as legal advisors, multinational organisations and local and European regulators.

Other Speakers and Topics

Other speakers flying into Cyprus from the UK are Dana Denis-Smith of Obelisk Support speaking on ‘Running the Law Firm of the Future’ and Alex Hamilton of Radiant Law speaking on ‘the Clientele of the Future’. Other topics covered by speakers from within Cyprus include ‘Can technology turn a costly overhead into a competitive advantage?’ and ‘Legal issues to watch for in implementing AI-enabled services’. There will also be a panel discussion on ‘the Cypriot Law Firm of the Future’.
